2016 Summer Reading List (8 books)

Now that my exams are finally over, I can relax and have fun in the sun. I’ll swim, bake, write (a lot), and ooh!  I could go horseback riding. One of my best friends started lessons today and she invited me to go sometime. SQUUEEEEEE! If I should tell you something about myself, it’s that I absolutely adore horses. I just do. They’re amazing creatures but I haven’t had the privilege to ride one yet! Ha, that’s going to change soon.

Of course, I cannot forget one of the most important things (aside from food and sleep<3)- reading! For as long as I can remember, my summers were spent between the pages of beautiful, fictional worlds. I used to just lie on the carpet and read as my grandma prepared lunch. The sun would peek through the big window and cast a little box of light where I read.

Libraries have always been one of my favourite places. What a dream-come-true they are! Millions and millions of delicious books. I remember having my poor mom carry home a huge bag bursting with books. Sorry mom!

Sigh, the good old days.

To this day, I believe a summer is not complete without some quality reading time. So without further ado, here are 8 books I plan to indulge in this summer!

1.The Unexpected Everything
By: Morgan Matson
Summary: Andie has always lived a very planned life until a political scandal throws her carefully planned summer away. Now she has to live with her dad do things she’s never had to do before (i.e. walking dogs) Andie learns that sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

This book speaks to me. I love schedules and plans- I don’t think I can endure a summer where everything is unexpected. Who knows? Maybe I’ll learn something!
