A Fly (a poem)

Daily Prompt: Guest

How nice it was to be invited-
the feathery soft
blanket had grabbed me here.
I hadn’t even asked.
Now,
I’m a guest in this heaven
enveloped with warmth
and silk
and drifting…
to sleep.
Where am I?

Oh no!
I’m stuck!
Let me go-
I thank you for having me but
I really need to leave.

I can’t breathe.
The soft sheets are too
snuggly
as I am being tucked
tightly into bed
by
a spider.
